13 days until Some ME Time 5th Annual Mothers Day Brunch (http://www.somemetime.net/). The last three days have been so busy, I guess that's good because I've heard it said idile time is the devils playground... I'm pretty sure he found somewhere else to play!!! Friday, I had the pleasure of filing my taxes (can you hear the sarcasm in my voice?!) I promise you, this years was so overwhelming. Since Some ME Time is an official registered business with NYS, all of your T's must be crossed and you I's must be dotted. I can no longer go to a Tax Preparer it is in the best interest of the company to have a Licensed CPA. One of my good friends referred me to her Accountant. What a blessing that was. My appoint was for 10am, I didn't get to him until 11:15( I have NYC MTA to thank for that). So you can only imagine how overwhelmed I was already. Thankfully, I was able to be seen right away. I had all these old receipts, hand written notes that I wrote to myself, in my mind I was pretty organized. I knew what every note represented, for goodness sake was written clear as day......."What don't you understand sir?" Why does he keep asking me questions when everything is written on my stickys????!!!!! (I was so annoyed with him, and it had nothing to do with his heavy country accent!!! LOL) It wasn't until he handed me a few binders for my to put all my documents in that I realized Girl you need to get it together. You are in Business!!!! Some ME Time is no longer a hobby but an official business, I know it sounds crazy but it's true!!!! Yup, I AM A C.E.O.
Finally after leaving Mr Reynolds office I was STARVING!!!! You know the kind of starving where you get evil, everything annoys you, people walking to dang slow in front of you ( and I was on 42nd Street, can you imagine???!!!! my stomach was growling louder then NYC Subway lines........) and everyone looked to happy... That's how hungry I was. Instead of racing home to I made a decision to go to Apple Bee's in the heart of 42nd Street. I was seated in the back...... it was perfect I was all by my lonesome. (Somebody say Some ME Time) I ordered Nachos and a large glass of Strawberry lemonade. Although it was packed because it was during lunch time, I felt so relaxed, it was Me, the Nachos and my strawberry lemonade everyone else did not exist to me. I must admit that was the highlight of my afternoon!!!. Sometimes all you need is 15, 20,60, 75 or even 24 hours to yourself and it will be rejuvenated, refreshed and ready for the next few days. I know I'm always preaching Some ME Time... but it truly is a Necessity not a Luxury!!!
